300 for Recreational Trails
Walking,
Hiking Trails, Bike Paths, Equestrian Trails
The
application for trails, paths or walkways is identical to the
protocols for roads, except that most trails require a depth
of only 4”, instead of 4-6”. Also,
smaller equipment is typically used, for
example:
Small
capacity water tanks with spray capability
Roto-tiller or equivalent
Small Bobcat
“Turtle”
vibrating compacter or small drum roller
Desert Paths, City
Paths, Country Paths
This popular trail leads to Mitchell Caverns, located in the
Mojave Desert, California.
To control erosion and deterioration of the dirt trail
and to enable handicap access to the caves, the trail was
stabilized with PX-300 recently, by BellFree Contractors,
Inc. The photo
shows both the nearly completed improved trail, and the
un-stabilized upper portion. Notice how much smoother and compact the improved
trail is. The trail will retain a natural look to conform to
the outdoor surroundings. |

The city of San Clemente, CA, wanted a beachside trail for walkers, while preserving the natural sand look next
to the beach. PX300 provided the solution.
The path is durable, inviting and environmentally friendly. |

This project at Upper
Table Rock Trail Head in Oregon, will provide visitors with
a well-stabilized pathway for years to come.
